Genetically Modified Organism's - The hidden death sentence on your shop shelf

(Before I even Start, Dont miss the links at the bottom of the page!!)

Regarding GMO's (genetically modified organism's), Ive realized that it would be a much easier root to create public awareness of this threat than to try to convince the powers that be to actually get up off their Salaried chairs to address this issue.
This GMO food threat is not something that is an "overseas" issue, it is rife and it's right here in our very own supermarkets. Chances are that some part your last meal contained "modified starch" as an ingredient on the label - which is just a sneaky/deceptive/loop-hole way of labeling "GENETICALLY MODIFIED MAIZE" without plainly stating it.

My whole vibe is that we as consumers have a right to know whats in the food that is sold to us... we need to be able to make informed decisions and not literately force-fed unnatural, untested "food" because its profitable for those in power over us.
At the moment, South African labeling regulations are on the side of the GM food suppliers and they are not required to tell us that we have been eating unnatural/nutrition deficient/ cancer causing food.
 - As mental as that sounds, our government agrees that it would be bad for profit because labeling food as such may "cause fear in consumers".
So we sit with a situation whereby the "fat-cats" who make the laws of our land would rather fill their pockets with profits (directly from GMO sales or indirectly from medical expenses from the masses) instead of  - as good leaders ought to - giving an actual damn about the long term well being of everyone else.

Regarding Bread - a Food staple diet for millions:

"In South Africa, most of the country’s white bread contained high levels of Monsanto’s genetically modified soya beans in the soya flour.
However, most bread companies were found to be flouting the labelling laws. Shoprite, Woolworths, Spar, Premier Foods, Pick n Pay, Tiger Brands and Foodcorp were found to have failed to properly label their white breads.
For example,
Checkers white bread, which contained 91.09 percent of genetically modified content in its soya flour, had no warning label and no ingredients label
Woolworths white bread contained 85.62 percent of genetically modified content in soya flour and was only labelled as “may be genetically modified”.
Sunbake bread owned by Foodcorp contained just less than 30 percent of genetically modified soya flour and was not labelled.
Only Pioneer Food’s Sasko white bread contained genetically modified soya flour that was “so low as to be unquantifiable”. It was labelled “produced using genetic modification”.

Many countries have forced Monsanto to be banned from their agriculture sectors, but SA is still sitting with arms wide open and inviting the rape of her people in under the guise if "Foreign Investment".
Common people!! Lets wake up.

Spread the news! there are loads of scientifically backed up resources available on line to share with friends and family. Please do so.
As it stands, the life expectancy of our kids is estimated as radically less than ours if we continue to stand back allow the carnage of our food supply.
